If you are considering schools in Maine, consider Seacoast’s Sanford campus. Seacoast Career Schools specializes in career-focused education that will provide you with just the right skills to get you started in your new career. At the Sanford campus, we offer courses that will help you pursue these rewarding careers:
Professional Medical Assistant
Founded in 1995, Seacoast Career Schools is committed to the success of our students and graduates. We offer hands-on learning, modern equipment and technologies, and a track record of success. Learning is results-oriented, which allows graduates to define what they’ve learned and put their new-found skills to use in the workplace.
At Seacoast, we want learning to be a life-long, rewarding, and viable option for people of all ages and levels of expertise. We design all of our programs around an experiential learning model—this means that you learn by doing, and not simply by listening. Experience has shown us that a hands-on approach is the best way to learn.
The Sanford campus is located off Route 109 in Sanford, Maine, about seven miles west of Exit 19 of the Maine Turnpike. We are just 30 minutes from Portland, ME and 25 minutes from the New Hampshire Seacoast.
Located in a quiet, rural section of Maine, our campus features outdoor places that students can enjoy. On warm days, you might find students using the picnic tables on our lawn or socializing after class in our sheltered courtyard.
Our facility includes two medical assisting clinical labs, a massage clinic, over 10 classrooms, a student library, four computer labs, two areas for student dining with microwaves, student refrigerators, toasters and vending machines. The students are provided with lockers for belongings.
Our Massage Clinic comprises one large massage lab that accommodates up to 4 clients, as well as three fully-equipped smaller massage rooms. The massage clinic is open to the public, and serves as a hands-on training facility for our massage therapy students during their internships.
Our Medical Assistant labs are equipped with equipment including a software enabled EKG system, outpatient medical equipment, phlebotomy models, hands on practice supplies for all laboratory classes, as well as other technology and equipment used in the healthcare field. All rooms are air-conditioned and accessible for people with disabilities.
